Dele Momodu calls for reinstatement of suspended UI student

Renowned journalist and Chief Executive Officer of Ovation International, Dele Momodu has called on the authorities of the University of Ibadan to rescind the decision to suspend Kunle Adebajo, a 500-level law student of the institution.

Adebajo was suspended over an article published in The Guardian Newspapers, in April, 2016.

In the article, Adebajo had drawn attention to the deplorable state of the infrastructures in the Nigeria’s premiere university.

Momodu while reaching out in a public appeal on Twitter via his personal handle @delemomodu, asked the university management to temper justice with mercy.

“Here’s a public appeal from me to the UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN authorities to kindly temper justice with mercy and rescind the decision to suspend this young writer KUNLE ADEBAJO for two semesters… Thanks and God bless your own children… Pls help me retweet till it gets to UI”, he tweeted.

A movement known as “Free Campus Press Movement” had earlier sought his help to get the student-journalist reinstated after a social media campaign was launched for same reason.
