
The Post Graduate Students Association, UAM on Wednesday, 20th June 2018 played host to Staff and Students of the Post graduate School at the 3rd Inauguration ceremony of new executives for the Association.
Present at the event were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) , Prof. Nicodemus Agbulu, Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Mrs. D. Tuleun, Deans of the Colleges, Members of the Post Graduate Students Association amongst other invited guests and dignitaries.
The epoch making event was characterized by a Lecture on the theme "The challenges of Post graduate research in Nigeria " delivered by a renowned researcher, Prof. Nicodemus Agbulu (Ksm). He exhaustively outlined the rudiments of research and it's attended challenges, charging members of the PGSA and the public to be determined and purpose oriented in summounting the outlined challenges as research remains the only hope for the growth, development and sustainance of the society.
Wednesday's event was climaxed by an Inauguration and oath taking ceremony anchored by Barr. C.S Uvah (Legal Advisor, UAM) for both members of the PGSA's Executive and Legislature. This was followed by the acceptance speech which was auspiciously taken by the newly elected President. Comr. Alam Terpase.
He reiterated the essence of the PGSA's foundation and charged members and colleagues to live up to their obligations for the greater growth and development of the Association.
He further reaffirmed the Association's drive to foster a good working relationship with the University Administration in a bid to enhance productivity.
As the PGSA witnesses it's 3rd leadership inauguration, members are optimistic that the Comr. Alam Terpase led Administration will deliver on its campaign promises and in the best interest of the Association, be selfless in their individual and collective roles to them.
