Representatives of Campus Gist Paper, today under the leadership the Editor in Chief, Sen. Akpem Michael Ngutor were at the temporal palace of the Tor Tiv (V), HRH Orchivirigh, Prof. James Ortese Ayatse to pay him a courtesy call.
The aim of the visit was to felicitate with His Majesty on his selection as the Paramount ruler of the Tiv race and register their support for his leadership ahead of his official coronation on the 4th of March, 2017.
His royal Highness, Professor Ayatse was a former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi between 2001- 2006 and was highly instrumental in laying the foundation for what now stands as the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
The Erudite Scholar and Prudent leader, now turned Leader of the fourth largest ethnic group in Africa's most populous nation, was elated to receive a group from an institution he laboured hard to ensure its growth and development.
He took time to counsel the Campus Gist Team on adherence to ethics of journalism as they go about their business of journalism on campus charging them to be determined and courageous in service to their readership, promoting the virtues in society ahead of Vices.
The Editor in Chief, Sen. Akpem Michael Ngutor responded on behalf of Campus gist paper, thanking the Paramount ruler for his hospitality and wished him long life and prosperity in his service to his people.
As His Majesty leads the Tiv race..Campus Gist Paper is certain that she would be a window for the rest of the world to learn of the growth and development that Prof. James Ortese Ayatse's rule will bring to the Tiv nation.
