MAKURDIANS ANTICIPATE ELECTION RESULTS

Students of the University of Agriculture,  Makurdi on Saturday 28th July went to the polls to elect cabinet members of the Students union in what has been acclaimed by many to be the most peaceful election in the Unions history.

Accreditation and Voting in Saturday's polls started at about 12 noon and endured untill about 4:00 PM when collation of votes started at polling units across the University campus.

Collation came to a close by 11:24 PM at the James Ayatse Convocation Square, with individual results from polling units conveyed to the Students Multipurpose building (which serves as the ad-hoc SUEC headquarters) for final resolution and declaration.

The Electoral committee under the leadership Of Comr Abaver Jeremiah is however yet to formally declare the results of the polls at all levels as Makurdians still anticipate the unveiling of the list of victors in Saturday's polls.

While Makurdians  still anticipate the final declaration of results, the Electoral committee  has sued for patience and cautioned Students against rumour peddling assuring them that their confidence in the Electoral body will not be redicled and an official declaration of results for the Students Executive Council (SEC)  elections will be made public soon.
